A tough day at the office today. The lads needed to win 19-3 to win the North section of the Midlands League.
Sadly despite a spirited performance we could only manage 1 winning rink. However to show how close the lads got to getting the result three rinks only lost by a couple and the other lost by one.
It was always going to be a difficult task to beat a strong Yorkshire team but the lads put up a great effort and on another day could have had 5 winning rinks.
Our winning rink was the quartet of Steve Hanlon (Hartlepool), Dave Paterson (Sth Shields Vipers), John Lynch (Darlington) and Steve Slaughter (Hartlepool) winning 23-15.
