Durham seniors played the second leg of the Tony Horobin Trophy needing one winning rink from six following their 6-0 win in the home first leg.
On a tricky green at Doncaster the lads did enough winning on two rinks and so won the Tony Horobin Trophy 8-4 over the two legs.
There were five changes to the original team so many thanks to the lads who came in and played.
Top rink was the Darlington quartet of Brian Watson, Alun Bridgewater, Tony Henderson and Mark Jones who won 22-9.
The other winning rink was Geoff Reed (Gt Aycliffe), Alan Martin, Alan Bridgewater and Jimmy Ainger (all Hartlepool).
