Seniors 60+ Inter County Competitions: Northern Counties

Durham County Indoor Bowlling Association enters a team comprising of eight rinks of four players each in the Northern Counties League for the B H Crosby and N Pratt Trophy.

Dave Morgan,Durhan County IBA Secretary together with past Presidents, Ben Crosby and Neil Pratt were instrumental in setting up the Northern Counties Seniors League which originally comprised of five counties, Durham, Cumbria, Northumberland, Lancashire and Yorkshire. This was in 1998.

During the 10 years of its existence Durham have won the competition seven times and finished runners-up on the other three occasions. This is a proud record. The winners receive the Neil Pratt and Ben Crosby Trophy donated by two past Presidents of the Association. Cumbria and Northumberland have since withdrawn from the Northern Counties League which leaves Yorkshire, Lancashire and Durham to take part.
