Liberty Trophy - Draw

The draw for the 2008-9 competition is set out below. The first match for Durham is an away tie against neighbours Northumberland. Last year in the first round Durham again met Northumberland. On that occasion it was a home tie held at Stanley IBC. It was an unfortunate experience for the visitors as to their embarrassment insufficient of their players turned up to make a full team. The match had to be conceded to Durham who went on to become County Champions for a record 9th time.
